I can't really give support for the linux build, I'm afraid. There have been some issues with it where some people could run it while other couldn't. The browser versions are the same content-wise. It was developed browser-first!
I guess that you're missing an idea how to get the seed up the mountain, since you can't get through the door on the mountain base? The trick is to throw the seed up the mountain at some of the vantage points. There are signs that hint at that and the throwing-item-npc will talk to you about that as well.
If you have any other problems, you can always just check a let's play to see how other people managed to overcome the obstacles. e.g:
I only meant to try this game for a quick review but got so hooked it ended up becoming a complete playthrough instead, VERY nice and well rounded little game! Didn't even know there were multiple endings, now I gotta play it again and try to get all of them (:

Really fun game. Have about 34 hours of playtime on steam. One Question though: Is it possible to play the older versions on pc? I have some of them saved on my pc, but some I just dont have anymore and I am not very knowledgeable about Programming or running this game on browser.

I ended up with B, A, C, E, D, so pretty close! I did consider going for C while attempting A, but didn't... I think B is still my favorite, can't beat the power of eternal friendship!
The trick is to cover the distance with a good double jump and throw the seed at the last jump peak :) it's really fairly easy but I've seen a lot of people having problems with this part because they relied on the throw too much.

So pressing F like explained in the controls menu in-game does not work for you? All other keys work fine?

So you can't get over the river? Did you exhaust the dialog with the stone on top of the mountain? He should help you get over the river :)
I skipped the dialogue and clicked through it
he told me how to open the gate but not how to cross the river

Here's the order I got the endings :[B], [C], [A], [E], and [D]. Ending [D] is by far the best one.
